This program is for those families who have a teenager who is in high school full time,
between the ages of 12 and 17, and who feel that a more involved intervention is necessary
to help them through the difficult adolescent years. Not only offering respite to families,
we also offer a truly unique structured and integrated approach which opens up
communication between teenagers and their parents.
|
The teens participate in skill building groups on a nightly basis.
Furthermore great emphasis is placed on academic performance and attendance at school.
|
Our program is offered to both the male and female population, who are able to return
home on the weekends. Parents of program participants are obliged to attend a weekly
parent support group for the duration of their childs stay in the residential portion
of the program. This is an integral part of our program and provides a sense of hope
and support to families who are newcomers to the residence.
|
Every aspect of our program works towards the reestablishment of appropriate parental
and teenage roles in the home. We believe in the strengths of the family and base our
interventions on this philosophy.
